Step Lightly

hikerMy destination is not of consequence
I care not when I get there or even if I do
For it is the act of walking that is of import;
With each foot fall my load is lightened
By the melody of bird song arising from the brush
By the chorus of spring peepers in the wetlands;
Mother Nature’s orchestra is an elixir for all that ails a worn soul.

    1. John Thomas Dodds, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. Your kind words have brightened my day. I hope you will continue to find pleasure in what I post.

    1. When I am out walking the dog I get into a sort of trance. Sometimes when I shake off the trance I am surprised to see where I am as I don’t remember walking that far 😉
