Singularity

stick

Singularity is a myth;
We do not come into this world alone
We are conceived by two, and
Born from one of them;
Afterwards we are never alone
‘Though there are times it may feel so;
We walk in the shadow of countless others
Others who came before, and
Others walk in ours;
There are the unrecognized others
Without whom we could not live;
Among this supporting cast is one more group
Those who mark our going
Give testimony that we have passed their way.

    1. Thank you. Do I speak with you as Pippatassi or another name? Such a simple image as the stick with its shadow in the sand, but how deeply it spoke to me. Why is it that there are times we feel SO VERY alone and never stop to think that this is not really possible. We never walk alone – not spiritually or in actuality?
