Cold-blooded Deception

I’ve been watching you
I know you are not what you appear
On first glance
Underneath that warm exterior exists
A cold-blooded predator
Who waits patiently
For that special someone
Someone ripe for the picking
To be consumed in conquest;
You’ll show no regrets only
Contentment with the whole affair, until
Once more
You remount your perch
And await the next catch.

  1. That’s how I felt when I discovered that frog will eat anything they can catch. I’ve seen them go after squirrels and birds. Now if they would only eat the neighbors’ cat so the fish in my pond would be protected 😉
