My Shoes

Gone are the days when there were only two kinds of shoes —
Theirs and everyone else’s—
So much pressure to own that glass slipper;
I’ve no desire to walk in those shoes
Hey, I’ve paid my dues
Earned the right to walk in my own shoes —
Shoes that fit me
Shoes that feel right;
You gotta know these are my shoes.

    1. Your comment is much appreciated Bejamin. Hope your feet transport you to some great places too. I saw the shoeprint on a beach in Galveston, TX.

    1. Clearly there is a host of puns that can come from this 😉 Not actually the direction I was going but there’s nothing wrong with a good laugh. Although, I’m not big on groaners.
