Lost in a Fall

leafforestfloor

Something is lost in a fall
If no effort is exerted to get up;
Something is lost in a fall
If nothing is learned in the experience;
Something is lost in a fall
If the landing is always in the same place
Or too soft
Or feared too much;
Something is lost in a fall
If corrections seem unnecessary.
Failure never breaks in
It gnaws from the inside out, and
That’s when something is lost in a fall.

  1. I appreciate your stopping by and leaving a comment Bejamin. Yes, falling is an important part of life and the winter Olympics certainly is bringing that point home at the moment 😉
