In the Rearview

sideview

No matter where we travel
The past is never far behind
It may be explained
Excused
Outgrown and
Atoned, or
It may be dismissed
Justified
Neglected or
Repeated with little mind;
It is a personal choice how to travel, but
Caution on the digital highway remains unchanged
Beware the past
For it is only a few clicks away.

    1. Alice,
      I like your simple phrasing to convey a deeper message. Upon reflection I wonder if “A past rethought is a past excused,” might not be a more apt word. Some one might offer an excuse for their behavior but do so without giving their actions any thought. However, rethinking the past with an implied implication that there is regret is an action worthy of being excused. Do you agree?
